Become a Registered Club
It’s that time again, Club Registration for Fall 2025 is officially open!
If you’re part of a graduate student club, or thinking of starting one, now is your chance to have your group officially recognized under the University of Manitoba Graduate & Postdoctoral Society (UMGPS).
As a recognized UMGPS club, you’ll gain access to the following benefits:
- Be officially listed on the UMGPS website to boost your club’s visibility.
- Request to reserve the UMGPS Lounge for your meetings and events.
- Promote your events through the UMGPS News, reaching all grad students.
- Apply for financial support through our new Club Funding Program
Your proposal must include:
- Cover Letter (1 page)
- State your intent to be recognized/ratified.
- Include contact info and signatures of at least two representatives.
- Club Proposal (up to 3 pages) answering:
- What is the purpose of the club?
- What activities will the club host?
- How will the club manage finances and allocate funds?
- What potential liability issues could apply?
- Proposed Constitution (typed copy)
All documents must be submitted by Wednesday, October 15, 2025 to the Vice President Events and Clubs, Diwan Oulai at vpec@umgps.org.
