Celebrating Pride Month – Love is our foundation.
We’re excited to invite 2SLGBTQIA+ graduate students, families, friends, and supporters to our Pride Celebration! 💛
Join us for a fun and welcoming evening with board games, a movie, snacks, and more. This is a family-friendly event, and we’ll also have painting supplies and colouring sheets available for children and anyone who prefers a quieter activity. 🎨✨
This year, we’ll also be trying rock painting! If you’d like to participate, please bring your own rock. 🪨🌈

Assiniboine Zoo + Park Trip
Are you ready to explore the Assiniboine Park Conservancy?
Visit the zoo to see Polar bears 🐻❄️and other wildlife🐯🦭🦬 & an animatronic dinosaur 🦖 🦕exhibition!
Then explore the Assiniboine Park, visit English Garden, Leo Mol Sculpture Garden, The Pavilion Art Gallery or relax in the nature 🌱
Tickets include admission and the round trip transportation.

Children’s Reading Circle
One of the biggest challenges graduate students who are also parents face during the summer is accessing childcare support. To help address this need and support our graduate student community, the University of Manitoba Graduate and Postdoctoral Students’ Society (UMGPS) is partnering with Children’s Reading Circle this summer to offer a free literacy and childcare support initiative for youth aged 6–17.
Program details are as follows:
Session 1: July 13, 15, and 17, 2026
Session 2: August 24, 26, and 27, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: UMGPS Lounge, University of Manitoba

Gimli Day Trip
The annual summer day trip is back!!!!⛱️🌊☀️🕶️
